On Sunday, June 5th, Shopwalk DTLA will be teaming up with Urban Air Market LA for a supersized Shopwalk. The pop up marketplace will be held on 5th street between Main and Spring, and will prompt additional Sunday street closures.
Two blocks will be closed:
5th Street between South Broadway and Spring Street will be closed Sunday 8:00am-Sunday 3:00PM.
5th Street between Spring Street and Main Street will be closed Sunday 9:00AM- Sunday 6:00PM.
Approaching it’s 27th year, Fiesta Broadway is L.A.’s signature Cinco de Mayo event. Known as “The Super Bowl of Festivals,” Fiesta is produced annually by All Access Entertainment, and is held in Downtown Los Angeles along Broadway and around the streets of City Hall.
Closures will occur on Saturday April 23rd and Sunday April 24th:

Spring Street between Temple and 2nd Street

On Sunday April 10th a special event for commity fitness will be held around Grand Park. Two streets will be temporarily closed.

When
Intersection closure is anticipated to start on Saturday, February 27, 2016 starting at 7 a.m. and will be in place until January 2017. Local access to businesses, residents and emergency responders will be maintained during the closures with a construction crew onsite granting local access.
7 months closure from February to September 2016

- Left turn pocket at Hill to the east bound 2nd St will be closed during this closure
- Left turn pocket at Broadway to the west bound 1st St will be closed during this closure
4 months closure from September to Janaury 2017
- 2nd St between Spring St and Broadway
- Weekend closure of the intersection of 2nd St and Spring St
Work Hours
Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Overnight work between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. may be necessary. A separate notice will be issued as work gets scheduled.

What to Expect
Starting on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 7 a.m., a full weekend closure of the 2nd/Broadway intersection will be in effect to install K-rail (concrete barriers) and reconfigure traffic lanes to implement the 7-month and subsequent 4-month closures.

Night on Broadway – Saturday January 30, 2016
Night on Broadway 2016 will be taking place on Saturday 01/30/16 between the hours of 5:00 PM & 11:00 PM. This event will call for the following street closures:
– Broadway between 2nd and 4th Streets starting on Friday 01/29/16 starting at 12:00 PM
– Broadway between 4th and 7th Streets starting on Saturday 01/30/16 starting at 6:00 AM
All closures are expected to re-open by 3:00 AM on Sunday January 31, 2016

New Year’s Race Half Marathon & 5k/10k (January 3)
On Saturday May 16th, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Steve Aoki will hold an outdoor street concert on S. Broadway. Several streets will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic surrounding the event, although all sidewalks will remain open.
4th Street, 5th Street, and 6th Streets between Hill & Spring will be closed:
